About Highland BlindCraft Beds

Founded in 1881, Highland BlindCraft is the only charitable organisation of its kind in the Scottish Highlands, providing training and employment to individuals living with visual impairments and other disabilities.

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in their Inverness workshop on Ardconnel Street, Inverness, they deliver the best night’s sleep to homes across the UK. Now, with the launch of Highland BlindCraft’s brand new eco-friendly range of beds, we are working together to provide more choice in the design of their divan bases and eco-friendly headboards.

Our customers can now choose which of Lucy Wagtail’s unique fabrics will adorn their new bed and headboard.

Highland BlindCraft have recently developed a brand new “eco-mattress” which incorporates sustainable bamboo making this a truly considered option for your bedroom. This, together with a new range of four headboard designs using wool padding instead of foam and the natural fibres of Lucy Wagtail Interiors’ fabrics we believe, our collaboration with this fantastic local charity offers a unique and exciting product for those looking for a stylish home without a cost to the planet.

Interior Design Consultation

Ashleigh and I have been working closely with the team at Highland BlindCraft over the last few months to ensure a unique and different offering. We’ve been busy designing fresh new fabrics, room sets and headboard designs preparing for the launch of our joint service.

So that you can fully explore your design options, Lucy Wagtail Interiors are offering Highland Blindcraft customers a free 1/2 hour design consultation for their bedrooms, from paint to fabrics to cushions. This is an exclusive service only available to Highland Blindcraft customers and can be booked in-store.

During our consultation, we will explore the different fabrics available, explore your likes and dislikes in colour and create the bedroom of your dreams, including the bed, headboard, curtains, blinds, decorative cushions and handmade lampshades. We can even supply some gorgeous 100% wool throws from The Isle Mill as well as top quality Egyptian cotton bedding and some gorgeous table lamp bases too!

Collaborating and supporting each other on a local level in this way allows Lucy Wagtail Interiors and Highland BlindCraft, two small Inverness businesses seeking to lead the way in make environmentally friendly options available in interiors and offer the very best, high quality products to our customers.

Using our fabrics and Highland BlindCraft’s craftsmanship we hope to bring a fresh, new service to our respective customers both locally and across the UK.
