One of the most satisfying aspects of being Lucy Wagtail is having the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to others.
Crochet and Knitting courses are five weeks long and I do limit the numbers in my classes so that everyone gets the individual attention that they need.
Workshops can be arranged for groups, please contact me for more information.
I have offered classes and workshops for over five years now and have taught goodness knows how many people to crochet, knit and make lampshades!
I offer a variety of Workshops and Classes on a regular basis and they fill up quickly so please, to avoid disappointment, book early.
Other workshops are in the pipeline, so sign up for the Newsletter so that you don’t miss out on any updates.
CROCHET 1 – Beginners and CROCHET 2 – Intermediate
Beginners and Intermediate classes are offered regularly in both the Morning and the Evening. Classes run over one and a half hours per week over five weeks. They are offered subject to demand and in the Inverness and surrounding areas.
Please contact me if you’d like me to run a class for a group or sign up for my Newsletter to keep up-to-date.
This course is for those completely new to knitting.
If you’ve always dreamed of knitting and not known where to start then this is the course for you!
Starting with the basics by the end of the course you’ll be armed with enough knowledge and confidence to try some easy knitting patterns by yourself.
Tunisian Crochet Workshops are offered for those with experience of crochet and who want to expand their skillset.
These workshops are usually run twice a year on Saturday mornings so if you’re interested, sign up for my Newsletter for information as to when the next one is scheduled.
Make your own custom lampshade with Lucy Wagtail.
A large part of Lucy Wagtail is creating Lampshades in all sorts of shapes and sizes and using all sorts of materials.
Learn how to make a simple drum shaped lampshade at one of our Workshops, you can even bring your own fabric if you’d like it to match your cushions or curtains!
A bit less wet than its wet felting cousin, the craft of Needlefelting can be used to create many beautiful things.
In our Workshops we could be exploring how to create flat objects such as shaped hearts and flowers or 3D sculptures such as birds or gnomes.
Needlefelting can also be used to decorate flat woollen objects such as jumpers or wet felted items. Not to mention the creation of beautiful pictures with not much more than just wool tops and a bit of imagination!
